8/29 & 8/30 report- Upper DE Bay

Finally got our boat back after one long month. Headed out with some bunker, shedders, mackeral and minnows. Stayed in close around the 6 Bouy and anchored up for some weakies. Caught a few junk fish and a small weakie. Decided to head a few miles north, but not much action going on there, so we headed back south to the wreck and drifted for fluke. No keepers for me today, but Tom reeled in a keeper fluke just at 18 inches.

Sunday was perfect- the morning was cool, breezy and little overcast. Thought to go out and try to catch some drum. We left the dock with makeral, shedders and left over minnows. Headed south towards some structure, but someone else was where we wanted to be, so went to a different spot over structure. Anchored up and got our limit within minutes. Tom got a nice 23.5 inch, 7 lb. Tog! I reeled in a 16 inch Tog, we both got our limit for the day. The tide slowed down just in time and we headed back in close and drifted for fluke, but nothin. The sun came out and was hot with not a stitch of wind, called it day. Cooked the Tog on the grill, tasted pretty good!! Neither of us had caught or eaten this fish before. Cant wait to give it a go again next weekend!

Looks like you had a fun weekend! Those little teeth are kinda cute lol. You guys have to come fish with us out of Cape May! I'm still trying to figure this site out, but I'll have to put some of my fish pics up soon!
