Anyone been fishing LBI recently?

Im headed down this weekend whats it been like down there fishing wise

sorry not a word. havent been down in weeks. jetties with small hooks with clam. triggers , kings and croakers? thats just my guess. good luck

i live a stone throw from lbi but yet i have not been on the island in 2 weeks due to way to many Benny's to find a spot to park.
have not heard of any action but hopefully val will chime in since she is our eyes and ears on the island at oceanside B&T

I was down a few weeks ago.
they are all out.
saw a group of four fishing a jetty Surf conditons 5-6' waves, winds at 15+, strong current.
they were fishing with 2 oz weights, casting ON TOP of the jetty.

now smitty you know as well as i do that the island gets 1000 more peaceful in the off season when it switches to only fisherman and year rounders down there

Ill give you a report from beneath the surface.... bass and tog in the inlet, fluke mixed in. Keepers farther out.

was down last weekend, tog in the inlet, found herring and blues inlet at night, had a few hits beach side for fluke
