This may just look like a bad hair day

I've been infatuated by this crazy style for a while now. I took some ideas from Intruder salmon flies and used them in this saltwater fly.

It really looks like a bad hair day when it's dry just off the vice.
But when it hits the water it comes alive. It flares and breathes and moves with the currents. It really looks alive.
Almost every material on this fly is tied on with dubbing loops and backed by collars, which makes the material not lay flat along the hook shank. The material comes out and bends back making the illusion of bulk to the fly.



And after being wet to check it's shape. Hard to believe it's the same fly. Next I'll change up a few colors and find the colors the fish want that day.
And the bad hair day is now all gone.

Your ties make me wanna buy a flyrod again.. But that will only last a week and id end up selling it again..

I always have one for you to use Jeff. And if you got a long rod and fished with me you better buy a hard hat also
