hey whats it cost to have a custom rod made .....

all i would be looking for is something with the qualities of a tica "im a simple person"

9' all black with silver wrappings and the site logo on it..

A 9 ft Glass Lami around 2- 250
a 9 Ft GSB 300 ish

Oh yeah the Only GSB i will own is my custom 1321M+6
All my other rods will be glass

Can someone explain why a custom wrap is better than a factory wrap. If the blank is the same what's the difference other than the pretty designs?

How? Isn't the blank that has the feel? I can understand if you said the guides are better or even the guides are tougher cause they're wrapped better or the grips can be customized so they're better. But all things being equal I mean all the same components, what's the difference? Does it feel different because your wallet is lighter? Seriously, I've never owned a custom wrapped rod so I'm just curious.

That question is asked a lot... Think about this: How can a factory rod fit a little short guy like me a the green giant (GSB)???????? It can't !!!!!!!! When Mikey's stuff was stolen he needed a rod in a hurry. I sold him my personal 11M, but before I did I had to add 6" to the butt to fit him... A good rod maker will question how you will fish the rod you want built, (jetty vs beach vs shishing ect.), will review your casting for reel seat placement and you should get a product that fits "your" needs. Many time this will add distance to your cast. In GSB's case he will be fishing the same types of areas as I do under the same conditions....

Smitty your walking on very thin ice here dont fall in head first LOL it only takes one custom then your done I have 4 Lami rods built By RedHawk19 and each have there own use LOL I only have one factory built rod that i use a 10 ft lami Super surf

redhawk added 6 inches to his butt to fit gsb now thats funny right there
