It's going to be a long winter

Well with temps below freezing for a week and cabin fever setting in already I tried my hand at tying a new pattern.

This past summer while fly fishing I saw more baby flounder then ever while wading the shallow flats. I'm not sure it it will catch but here's my take on one of them little babies.

What do you think ?

Charlie, that creation is too cute to feed to ravenous, vicious, carniverous, killer-bass!
My daughter would want to adopt him.. ha ha.. keep him as a pet.

Have you put lead on the hookshank, so it'll fish that way up?

Jim there's dumbbell eyes on the bottom of the hook shank at the hook eye.
I tested it a few times in the large kitchen sink, Takes to much to fill the bath tube   
If I tied Production flies to sell I think I would set up a 100gal fish tank with a water pump to simulate current to test in.
And it rode hook up    The belly is painted gray and tan and the whole fly is coated with UV cured acrylic and 1 coat of head sealer.
I'm doing another in EP Fiber witch is a soft material. This one looks more natural tho. And stays on the bottom better.

Well I tied another baby flounder pattern.
I did remember on this one that juvenile flounder only have 1 eye on it's top side till a certain age.

Cool. Always thinking outside of the box. I think you've crafted every forage fish on the eastern seaboard.

Hey Z not just forage fish but even hard shelled forage.
