Despite the unfavorable weather report we hit the river Sunday. Got out to the our favorite spot with 2 doz clams and a bag of bloods. The tide was slack when we arrived and just as it began to change I nailed my first of the season. 30" on fresh clam. First cast, first day out, damn it felt good! And my new St. Croix cast a freakin mile.

Nice job man - good to see someone fishing my next of the woods.

The action is super hot all in the front of the bay so those cows are on their way up river to spawn. I think after this new moon the big push is on



BTW - we have been snagging into tons of herring tossing plugs not far from where you were fishing - hmmmmmm!
