hook hole(bad)
charlie great talking to ya today I turned this when i got home looking at it i got to fill the rear hookhole and move it back lol but this is how the captbill plugs were wired it is kinda odd with one hanger on the left and one on the right side.theres alot of spring tension with the hanger in the 3/8s hole plus the thru wire holding it in...i'm not sure filling it with puddy will work i don't think the puddy will hold it(in the middle).lol

Re: hook hangers
Your right Ed they aren't what I pictured. I'll have to take a picture of the ones I did tonight. I went the hard route.

Re: hook hangers
What if you went all the way around like a tailwrap with the tag ends but 1 clockwise and the other counter clockwise ?? would that make it sit centered in the hole ??

it work
whity I sure that would work...alot of people do a double wrap then the loop then a double wrap ,they do one side clockwise and one counter clockwise so the loops not on one side of the wire....we were talking about sealed plugs and i was thinking this would be easyer no loops to do

closeing the loop
charlie tonight I'll try pulling the two tag ends through the loop, so the loop won't push on the sides thinking it might work and puddy it

Re: hook hangers
Ed - very easy to do them that way. I don't think a double loop is needed ??? Ted has a million tricks, he's the best !!!!!
It was a pleasure meeting winch, nice guy, to bad he lives on the wrong coast Nice to hear he had good things to say, I'm humbled

Re: hook hangers
Not sure how others do it but I do it alot like Frank (GREAT minds think alike )
Not the best pix but you can see how they work and are bent.
Eddie I don't think it matters which way they are bent as long as the loops go around the threw wire, Cause once they are epoxied in I don't think the wires can straighten out and pull out. Just my .02 cents tho. I don't catch any cows so I know they aren't pulling out.
Then I fill the loop holes with Devcon.
Here's the proto type bodys
I seal the bodys, then 1 coat of e-tex then I prime, paint, then 2 or 3 coats of e-tex then I can fish them.
Why did I ever want to build these suckers.
