LBI past week

Just got back from a family vacation on LBI, Surf city area. Weather fantastic, fishing not so much. I can't really say the fishing was good or bad since I didn't put in enough of time to make that call. But the beach report is they filled in the beach to the extent that the structure ---rocks/groins /sandbars have changed big time. For the family sitting on the beach, plenty of sand. Friday and saturday watched huge schools of bait three-four casts off the beach for hours. Earlier in the week saw plenty of bait but not to this extent. If there was something under them it wasnt much. Took the bride down to shop at the light and walked the jetty and unlike this time of year no blues to be seen. Not that one day makes a report but usually there is some type of action. Any vacation is a good vacation but a little drag slippage always makes it better. Later.
