Finishing plug??

I finally got a nice day to go outside to seal and prime some saltybugger kits. I was wonder after paint do I put eyes in then clear or eyes after clear?

You can do it both ways, it's really up to you.

T I would let the paint dry a day before clearing the plugs. Don't rush the process. And it also gives you time to look at the plug for awhile to know if your really happy with it.
I put the eyes in then clear, I always fell it helps seal the eyes in. Plus I use epoxy to put my eyes in. I believe it helps so you get no air bubbles from under the eyes when you e-tex the plug.

Thanks guys Im not going to use epoxy on this first plug just because I live in an apartment at the present time. Im just trying the whole process out before I go full blown setting up a shop at my parents.

Like Murph said...It can be done either way. I also e-tex after the eyes are in...Just do'nt leave a puddle in the eye resess, it won't settle right.
