Well, I'm new here, and I'm new at carving lures. Figured I'd post what I've done so far and see what sort of critiques I could get. Fire away! Any constructive critisism or jeers would be appreciated, plus, it's the only way to get better. I've been looking at some of the lures and plugs many of you have posted and know I have a big learning curve ahead. Tight Lines!

There are some great carvers on this site for sure Cap. Frank, I'm not one of them! From what I see they look pretty awsome! Nice smooth arch! Keep em coming. Hand carving is a true talent! Welcome To SBO

They all look good to me, nice!!!! Only thing I would do different would be to add lips to make them swim. Once you start throwing them in the water the fish will tell you how good they are and that's all that matters.

They look great. Have you put them in the water to see how they sit.

Since everything is frozen, the only water tests have been in the sink. They sit slightly head down, with their backs just up out of the water. I have been considering adding lips, but wanted to see how they did without first. When I give them a push they dip and wobble, I'm hopping thats a trait that remains after adding hooks and pulling them along with a line. There is so much to learn and so many options, guess that's what makes this such a fun and challenging hobby.

Thank you for all of the nice feed back and making a newbie feel welcome!
