Weekend 6/12 & 13

Sat went to our favorite lake, did well with the SMB as conditions were good. My buddy topped the day off with a 21" LMB that went 4' 11 oz. he was thrilled.

Sunday went out on the kayak with two others. All caught fish, nothing big but good numbers. I had a SMB on and as I was battling the fish I saw a shadow of something large chasing it. I couldn't imagine what it was, as there are no muskie or pike in this lake ??? As I got the fish closer to the yak it came up again, turned out to be a large snapping turtle. I got the bass into the yak asap and the turtle sat there for a bit like a dog looking for a hand out Never know what you will come across in nature.
