I'm thinking a 3" penny gulp shrimp on a jig head w/ a 3" penny gulp shrimp as a teaser to get my point across... if that doesn't work various rubber shads... then small bombers.. everything worked really slowly...unfortunately I won't be fishing w/ my friends opening nite because one of them spot burned my spot so many times they now drive 2 senior citizen buses there straight from Wal-Mart.. I'll be the guy in that yak you see in the distance,, notice I don't wave back.. all said in jest.. be safe.. play hard.. wear your raccoon eyes like a badge of honor.

Nothing beats clams in the spring, unless the sand eels are present.

What Part of BB are you fishing? Throwing a bloodworm at night in the canal and walking it down to the mouth of the bay is deadly. I haven't really fished the lower parts of the Bay but there always seems to be life aroung the BIBouy and if you can fish near the power plant.

Not really sure the only part of the bay ive fished thus far is the back side of island beach. I hear the power plant holds a decent amout of fish but ive never been there i guess its just gonna have to be trial and error for me.

I usually start out with bait, bloodworms in the river, clams out front. bucktails & finesses in May when the weakfish show. Then start plugging in late June.
