Hello - Anybody home?

OK someone needed to post in this forum, so I'll start.
We are looking at the real possibility of demolishing our current home (a 1956 ranch) and having a modular brought in to replace it. Does anyone on the site know someone in NJ who had a modular home built? If so what company did they use and do you know if they were satisfied with the results. I cant get over the fact that the GCs who don't do much more than put the units together and schedule the utility installs make about the same as the factory that builds the house.
