why cold weather in fla sux

SEE TAMPA BAY AND GANDY ARE MY PLAY GROUNDS, GOT PHONE CALLS YESTERDAY FROM A COUPLE BUDDIES, AND THIS REALLY SUX....... ONE EM TOLD ME HE COULD SEE LOTS OF DEAD FISH FLOATING ON HIS WAY TO WORK CROSSING THE BRIDGE....... THE OTHER TOLD ME HE DROVE OVER JUST TO SEE, AND HE SAW A PERSON PUTTING A CLOSE TO 60 INCH SNOOK IN THERE TRUNK OF THERE CAR!!! THATS A FISH OF A LIFE TIME....... AND NOT A PERSON WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO CATCH HER AND LET HER GO TO BE CAUGHT AGAIN ANOTHER DAY NOW...... COLD WEATHER HERE JUST SUX.

YES, IT VERY UNUSUAL TO GET COLD SNAPS IN THE 20-30'S FOR THIS LONG OF PERIOD OF TIME......... WE BEEN IN A COLD FRONT FOR ABOUT 2WKS.... SUX! REALLY SUX!! ITS SUPPOST TO START WARMING UP AROUND FRIDAY BACK INTO THE 70'S

that sucks roc heard stories this was happenin

does this mean when i come down in 2 weeks we cant go ...

we will go, just dont know what is gonna happen...... fish are moving into deeper water to stay warm........ we'll give it hell trying

Wow that really does suck Roc!Hopefuly the fish and the fishing will rebound without too much damage!

Well, we had a red tide that devitstated our fishing population back in 2005..... it was so bad that I did not even really fish for about 3yrs...... it killed all of our coral reefs up and down the entire coast..... we were just getting back into the swing of things........

guess it boils down to you cant stop MOTHER NATURE...... it just feels like whens she is PMSing she takes it out on us Floridains..........

SNOOK ARE OUT OF SEASON AND PEOPLE ARE PICKING THEM UP, AND THE THING IS THE BIOLIGIST SAY THAT THE FISH STILL HAVE A CHANCE EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE FLOATING AND BARELY ALIVE, THERE IS A CHANCE THAT THEY COULD REVIVE........ IT IS ILLEAGAL TO HAVE A SNOOK IN THERE POSSESION EVEN IF IT DIES OF NATURAL CAUSES..........

BIOLIGIST ALSO HAVE SAID THAT ITS NOT AS BAD AS THE FREEZE WE HAD IN 1977 AN 1983......... MOST OF THE SNOOK FOUND DEAD ARE OVER SLOT SNOOK IN MY AREA.......

went to some of my spots........ fish still coming up floating all over........

Fishing is getting back to normal in key largo,lot of dead floating last week.
winds have been blowing & we have'nt been out on reef this week.
Since grouper closure it seems to be more keeper throwbacks,lot of fish in 12-27 foot of water,sailfish have been chasing bait.
Going to try fla bay when winds die down

FISHING HAS BEEN PICKING UP, A BUDDY TOLD ME ON HIGH TIDE LAST NITE HE CAUGHT REDS AND TROUT!!!! AND THE SNOOK ARE STARTING TO BITE AGAIN!!!
