Re: WHICH TIDE IS THE BEST TO FISH
I like the last few hours of incoming and the first few of the outgoing but it depends where you are fishing. It seems to matter more in the rivers and shallow beaches.

IT DEPENDS ON THE SPOT YOU ARE FISHING. THEE ARE SPOTS I FISH ONLY ON TIDES THAT ARE FALLING.ILL START FISHING 2 HOURS INTO A FALLING TIDE.THEN WAIT AND FISH 3 HOURS OF INCOMING. ALL PLACES ARE DIFFRENT .SO ITS A LOADED QUESTION..BUT STILL A GOOD ONE. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: WHICH TIDE IS THE BEST TO FISH
Most of My Bay spots are very active 1.5 -2 hours after the High Slack...Again i am A Vampire and hardly Fish the daylight hours!I have one particular Bay spot that if the Winds howling west then it dosent matter what tide .
See it does get more complicated as you get deeper in the Sport. Current ,Wind vs tide Tidal flow .
I have spots that turn on and off so i need to be on my game

I like the begining of the out going at my main spots.

Re: WHICH TIDE IS THE BEST TO FISH
For most of the places I normally fish, I prefer the last few hours of the ebb ,the stand of low tide and the first hour or so of the flood. This is mainly due to the really flat beaches and I do quite a bit of bar hopping to reach the water I want fish.

I love 1/2 tide rising and the first of the out going.......THings just seem to be moving a bit more at these times...

Re: WHICH TIDE IS THE BEST TO FISH
I have to agree.......I have caught fish from Dead low to Dead high.....Winds from every direction......Night/Day.......I have learned over the years to read the water, conditions, bait around, and then i go from there :twisted:Midnight Flier wrote:Any tide you can

Re: WHICH TIDE IS THE BEST TO FISH
It doesn't matter if ya know where the fish are supposed to be. Low tide can be slamming.
Re: WHICH TIDE IS THE BEST TO FISH
some of my spots in the back low tide is the only time I can reach the channel where the fish are!

Re: WHICH TIDE IS THE BEST TO FISH
Two hours BEFORE, than two hours AFTER high tide.
But then again I've caught good size Stripers at Sandy Hook during rock bottom LOW TIDE.
As far as IBSP goes..............ONLY during high tide.
Low tide at the park S*CKS. :afro:

I like any tide that is moving. Dead High and dead low don't work too well for me.

I've got 'em on the top of the incoming, most of the outgoing, and just before dead low. Not all at the same location. :)

Re: WHICH TIDE IS THE BEST TO FISH
This time of year, in the bay, I fish the outgoing. The warmer water coming out of the rivers turns on the fish!

Re: WHICH TIDE IS THE BEST TO FISH
As jettyjunkie said, the old adage is "Spring is for incoming, Fall is for outgoing", but if you fish enough, you'll break every rule in the book.
If you're where the fish are, and they're hungry, they'll eat!

Re: WHICH TIDE IS THE BEST TO FISH
I keep a log on different spots and seasons and they all are at different times. It can make you nuts sometimes. Most of the time I go after work any way and it sometimes it lasts all night.
