black labels red white and blue jointed

ok thought i would do something different this week and make it a muliti day build . this will include the build thought paint . so tonight is the build tomorrow is some paint and so on..lets first that our square stock and start spinning it.

now spin your favorite shape. mine is a monkey a small round nose swimmer

after that mark where you want the joint to be.now make from the front to the tail down the center. then i use a square take the ruler part out and put the flat end on the line you just made a mark the angle then flip it to the other side . it should look like this

now cut it in your band saw and you will have 2 pieces
a front

and back

now i finish the front with wire a hook hanger and then i totally seal it with my secret stuff.this is where you add your weight to it . i put it right before the joint on the front part. when i thru wire it to get it tight i use the pinch the wire together in a pre determined length and use a nail to make the wire round .i seal the rear part also but just with the wood sealer .wire it later.
tomorrow we will add some colors to this plug.

now that you have the bodies turned ,paint the whole body white then pearl white. when that dries apply a coat of clear to the entire body.
now the next srep will be to make the red stripes . so get ready to do this. i do it this way . get some photo paper and appy a strip of 2" painters tape on it and fold the end over itself.now cut that into 3/16" stripes. see you tomorrow.
