Handcarved mullet spook

7 1/2" long and about 3 oz. Through wired, 4/0 VMC's. I don't mess around with scales much as I am not much of a painter but thought this one came out nice.

Funny you should say that. I use that template to make the biggest glider I make. I was trying to turn it into a swimmer and was using different lips trying to get it right. I only had the lips stuck in not epoxied and one of them fell out. As I was reeling it back in my son said it looked good like a topwater. I made another body with the same template out of cedar weighted it like a spook and it worked out nicely.
