8/15 w/ Fishincrazy

Jim and I hit the inlet just past sunrise. Realized why I hibernate during the weekends around here. Good amount of people fishing already and a surf contest about to begin. Got positioned in an area I have fished before and went at it. Getting bait was not super easy but no impossible. Had my 8' rod set up with a snapper popper and my 9' with a carolina live bait rig. Had one big hit and run off. Felt a good head shake so who knows. Next fish was a mamouth sea robin that ate a whole bluefish. Followed up was a fluke that went 17.999999999999999999999" maybe even another .9! The finish to the action was sight casting to big rays and watching one surgically steal my bait. That was all. Good times with someone I havent fished with a awhile.

Nice...didn't know Jim fishes too. i thought he only plays in a band.
