plugs

felt good to get back into the shed and seal a few plugs. i havent built for a couple months and took time to reflect on the past winter building season. thought a lot about things that worked and things i wanted to try. i ended up making about a dozen or so plugs at a time and decided to cut back to maybe three tops so i can really focus my attention to detail, paint, and finishing. looking forward to getting some work up here to post for you guys. i am planning on hand painting two of the three. let's hear some ideas for schemes......

any swimmers if so paint a mullet if ya can that would be cool

I would paint them to your needs, it seems to me that Stripers see yellow the best(Bob can attest to this) and here is a chart to prove it.


The double black line represents the color(s) seen by the species

If you are going to be fishing these yourself I would paint them in colors that my target fish sees better.

thanks mini. i have that color chart. i always find it funny to see weakfish not having a strong pink phase preference. two days ago i caught a fluke on a green bucktail and he told me he couln't resist.
