i like my dell inspiron 1525...
got a good deal on then around the holidays so i bought 2 of them $400 each thing is better than my desk top...

I have been using my Toshiba Satellite going on 4 years now, never have had a problem with it. I have big programs on it too( Autocad,Elements5.0,CS3) runs smooth as silk. I bought mine for $1800 I see laptops out there now compatible to mine for $400-$700 depends on how big you want your screen.

which have you seen that are similar, i may want to run programs like those?

sorry for all the questions i just dont want to waste my money

I have a Dell Vostro 1400, my wife has a Dell Vostro 1500......both are great, mine has a bigger memory and a smaller screen. Its lightweight and pretty compact. When you go on to the Dell site you have to look at "Dell for Business". It doesnt mean anything......if they ask your company just say your name, thats what I did before I had my LLC !!
