Hey everyone. Heading out tomorrow morning for one of the last striper trips till fall. We have a limited amount of time and naturally want to maximze our fishing time. With that being said, does anyone know where I can buy some live bunker in the am ?? I am stopping by Val's shop to pick up a few other things and I know she doesnt carry live bunker. Any and all help is appreciated!

Get some snag hooks or a cast net from Val. Bunker is extremely difficult to keep alive.

pretty sure you will find a bunch out there. the trawlers weren't going more than three miles from the inlet up here all day.

Thanks guys!! AKScucba, thanks....Val is my shop ......gonna stop in and see her around 0515, already have the snags!! And yeah, they are tough to keep anymore than a week or two!
Rebel, I know they are out there to be found, I was just trying to cut down on my time. I wanted to pick up a few live ones and hit the whitewater at the inlet. We have a limited amount of time and I was trying to be efficent!!
Thanks for the help guys!! I'll let you know how we make out!!
PS, Anyone else going out at first light?

Help me out here. How the hell do you keep bunker alive for a week or 2?

I'm pumping big time fresh sea water in and only get 4 hrs tops. You have an aquarium on a 200’ yacht or what?

LOL !! I converted my pool to a pen!! 15x30 with sand and salt water!! No, really, in a pen in the bay! your lucky to get two weeks, but a week is doable in the right location........you need to have water moving through, I dont think a lagoon would work.....

Well, went out and hit the inlet about 0545.......dropped some bunker chunks and first hit was within 15 minutes......shark, another one 20 mins later and then a third, not that long after that! Needless to say it was time to move! Ended up fluking in near the stink house and then the middle grounds. SKUNK was the outcome!!
