IBSP this weekend

Anyone fishing the park this weekend? I will be there with the family on friday and may go back down on sunday.

if the weather is nice,as is forecasted for Saturday, the park will be packed!!

I'm gonna try Thur. night. I'm off on Friday but will stay away from the crowds.

Good luck to all that venture on IBSP this wkend,,every 4x4 will be spaced 30yds apart if you are lucky,, the entire beach front will be a picnic ground.
What I hope happens is that you all have multiple experiences w/ large blues running up and down the beach and have a great day w/ family and friends.
Very early morning(false light) or dusk into darkness if you really want to fish there is my advice,, or a nice mountain creek.

Rick, the plan is to hit the beach at 4am, head back to the IBSP motor lodge at 9am. Pick up the family and head back to the beach to chill...I mean fish :king:

just found out i'm only working in the am. gonna try to get down to the park by noon fishpro what do you drive and where do you like to set up? i'll try to stop in and meet you. will probobly be alone. and yeah it will be crowded all weekend. i like watching the tourists try to drive their mercedes 500SL's into the sand at the end of the paved road. has some entertainment value. anybody know how the flies are now its supposed to be a west wind tomorrow.

fishpro.. you are hitting it right,, consider bringing a lighter rod we have been getting alot of hickory shad at first light,,a swimmer w/ a teaser,,watching those mini-tarpon go airborne is neat,, as in .
Along w/ any small bucktail,, you may get that 5lb fluke.
I really hope blues show-up for you,, so far I've only caught the cocktail variety,, but have heard of brutes.
A day w/ the family,, good for you,, here I'll ramble a little,, I bring an empty large clothes detergent filled w/ water ,,enough soap is always left over to clean up,, and large enough to last the day,, w/ the push knob dispensor.......and deet or whatever has worked,sun-block, hope no west wind,, light color clothing.
