I just need to know what the basic size treble hook for your average plug between 1 and 3 ounces is?

Um.... I keep on hand size 6 through 4/0. Most of your Striper plugs are going to have 1/0 through 4/0 hooks them.

Ohk cool. Me and OC have a large number of plugs we need to put hooks on. Ill get a better look at em all tomorrow probably.

AK depends how big the plug is. I would go biggest size possible without hooks fouling with each other. depening on number of belly hooks, or distance from belly to tail will determine what size you want. probably between 1/0-4/0 though, with 4/0 being a 3+ oz plug around 7.5-8" long or longer. (I use 4/0 on pencil poppers)

Also forgot, the hook size will also affect action and the way a plug sits due to weight differences. A lot of experimenting necessary to get what you want. I would start with size first though, and then work on how it affects the action.

yo scuba i just ordered a bunch on line for cheap and they were the vmc 4x hooks pm me and i will give u the info... they are not a sponcer here so i dont wanna burn anyone....although i dont think any of our sponcer sell them or i would get them from them.... but i put 3/0 and 4/0 trebels and 6/0 or 7/o singel hooks on the back of the pluggies

A 3/0 OR 4/0 TREB FOR THE BELLY IS FINE. THE TAIL I GO WITH 5/0 SIDE WASH HOOKS WORK GREAT.
