whats your go to set-up

what is you go to set up as in rod and reel line so on and so on???

im more of a cheep guy i use a tica rod have a few of them.
reel like the Penn's.
line 40.lb power pro.
plugs wood made by me lol smittyplugs.

This time of year im fishing a 7 ft 6 inch star stellar light with a us reels 240 xl during surf season its my 10 ft lami with my VS 250 on the boat its my shamano travallas with Calcutta 700b's. Im currently having a problem with my us reels the main gear broke into pieces on a big bass but i think it was because the side plate had loosened up probibly my fault that i didnt tighten it enough after greasing it im waiting to hear from them about the availability of parts.

FOR PLUGGIN I USE A 10 FT FENWICK SURF STIK WITH A SHIMANO 4500
FOR BAIT I USE AN 11 FT LAMI WITH A DIAWA SLOOSH 30.

8 ft custom built plug rod with lotsa guides and a shimano twinpower 4000 ( i only fish 12lb mono)

7ft tica with a shimano stradic 5000 w 14lb mono for the heavier lures .

light tackle is the right tackle........ for me at least

My setup for april when back bays are key, is a 9ft lami gsb 108 1ml with a penn 704z spooled with 20lb ndy back country. Use this setup for small bombers rebels, sluggos, bucktails and small pencils.

For mid may, I take out the 7.5mm wetsuit, lami gsb 1208 MH with a vs 250 gold or black, gold spooled with 65lb PP and black with 30 fireline. The black will most likely be used on the 10 ft stick and the gol don my 11ft kennedy fischer my dad wrapped when he was a kid (to think they only went for around 200 then)

I don't know how old the rod is but it held its own last year when I caught a 20lb 13oz striper on it
