for those who need a keeper
If ya need a keeper bass or want a shot at a monster, then the place to be is Brigantine. I have been catching keepers on a reg basis including a 43in 26lb money fish that won me 790$ just for doing what I love. No reason to be fancy about how ya set up. A simple fishfinder rig, no more than 10in of leader line with a #8 circle with a big blob of clam on the end. Brig has been on fire incase ya haven't heard with at least 1 fish per day 49in or better! The reason for this is quite simple, NO BUNKER arouind. These fish are swimming up the coast looking for food and can't find any bunker in Brig so they swim in real tight to the beach looking for food and hit the 1st thing they see which happens to be a big blob of clam. It doesn' get any easier than that. Or you could plug the early morn before 1st lite. By the way, lots of drum too! So there ya have it, the cat is out of the bag. Any spot in Brig will do

They can't get to where the fish are unless they want to walk 2 miles through greenheads fields :affraid: All kidding aside, I welcome anyone in Brig. Just to see there faces landing a keeper is priceless Stevel, I live in delco and drive down as much as possible. I have no place in Brig except my truck, sleeping is overrated anyway Stilltryn, they've been there for a month now and witnessed a 42lber and 37lber caught today by the sme person within 15min  Jim, OBSESSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!AKScuba wrote:Gonna be a goog stampede...

Yesterday shooting the chit in the shop when a guy, 1st time ever surf fishing, brings a 49in 41lber to the scales. The beat just keeps on going Now i hear guys bitching about where are the blues and kingfish Who cares! You got all summer to fool around with that junk. To me, it's all about the striped bass!
