LBI weekend report (pictures)

Hey guys sorry its a little late but im still recovering from fishing here goes:
Thursday night: hit the beach great fishing conditions perfect wind and tide light mist and full of fog- couldn't buy a bite so i figured i would head to the inlet to mess with the schoolies - heard and saw them all over the place but couldnt hook up.
Friday: took it easy during the day tried to take out the boat but couldn't get her started then i broke my tica so i went over to vals to pick up a new one gave me a great deal on a 7footer everyone should try to get to the shop the deals are incredible.
Friday night: met up with scuba and ocsurfcaster around 10 in the strathmere hole found some herring with blues mixed in so we messed around with them for an hour or so and filled up with bait. the we headed to the beach for the rest of the night and had a few solid bites but failed to hook up everything we did catch were doggies ( i did manage one of the biggest sand sharks i have ever seen though) andrew will have to post pictures when he gets around to it.
Saturday night: met up with Jeff around 1030 and tried out a spot on the beach lot of guys fishing but no one was catching. after two hours we went to the inlet to try some plugging saw a few but still no luck. We need to take jeff out to catch a fish dudes in a major slump. and way fished with him till around 2 and then i figured id give it one last effort at the beach headed mid island and set up shop. Missed on hit on bunker through it back out and caught this little guy which scared the S*** out of me missed those teeth at first.


tried until the sun came up and had a few small blues chewing on my bait no hookups though.
All in all a very long weekend of fishing but wouldn't have traded it for anything

you guys sure that a doggy dont look like it to me could it be a baby brown the teeth are way bigger than a dog and the color looks off really nice fish

Yup Joe its definitely a sand tiger, I used to work with ones at the aquarium in Camden that weighed 400 pounds.

Those weren't tags on the fins, parasites! Someone on another site caught the same shark I think!!!
