Hi Guys,

I plan on doing some surf fishing for fluke this year and I was hoping to get some advice. I have never done it before. My plan was to fish bucktails tipped with some kind of gulp. I will be fishing in central NJ.

Thanks

I should also say that I will be going at dusk into night and from early morning into dawn. I don't fish much during the day, but I don't hear a lot about fluking at night.

chartruese gulp minnows (with curly tail) on a #2hook teaser setup with a small white bucktail tipped with the same thing. one of my favorite things to do on the beach in the summer. wife lays out and i catch a ton of fluke and sea robins. just fun fishing more or less.

Hi Jay rod, If you can look for holes at low tide and fish those areas. I use a white bucktail with a squid strip as my weight and lure, I add a trailer squid strip to that.
