Is boat fishing better than surf

There two different animals!!Boat fishing allows you to cover alot more ground than surf fishing.On the surf you've gotta be extremlly confident in the ares your fishing,because it takes more to move location.
I like fishin from the surf and fishin from a boat.

THERE ARE ALOT OF WAYS TOO LOOK AT THIS. BOATFISHING IS GOOD. CAN ALWAYS MOVE AND CHASEFISH IF YOU SEE THEM.IN A BOAT YOU CAN COVER A LOT OF WATER. SURFFISHING YOU COVER A GOOD BIT OF WATER. BUT THE FISH SOMETIMES ARE OUT OF REACH YOU IN A BOAT CAN MOVE OVER AND YOU ARE ON THEM AGAIN.SURFFISHING IS AN ART.ITS TIME TOO WORK THE ROD AND REEL . YOU ALO MEET NEW PEOPLE.WHICH SOME TIMES IS GOOD AND BAD.. ITS FUN TOO FIGHT A LARGE FISH WHILE STANDING IN HI HOUSE. WHEN IN THE WATER YOU FIGHT THE TIDE,WAVES, SOMETIMS BOATS. SOMETIMES OTHER PEOPLE ON THE BEACH GET IN THE WAY. ITS HOW YOU SEE IT BOAT HAS ITS UPS AND DOWNS. SAME AS SURFFISHING HAS ITS UP AND DOWNS. BOTHWAYS ARE FUN. HAVING FUN IS THE NAME OF HTE GAME. being that i suck at surf fishing (no keeper stripers yet) and have killed a lot of big fish.. i would sy boat fishing.. but only because i am better at boat fishing :afro:

Been surf fishing once it sucked ...i know some die hard surf fishers that love it ...Ill stick to the boat although i like the concept of having all your shit rite there in your truck ....i like the turn key and go concept

ive never tried surf fishing, but i enjoy boating.. very relaxing out in the middle of nothing but you, water and fishies :)

surf fishing in my opinion is much more difficult, gotta have good surf reading skills and persistience. i do both often and in the boat we always can find fish. on the surf its tougher, but that being said, catching a keeper from the sand is more rewarding to me than my limit in the boat. just my opinion and i too suck at surf fishing but love it and will not stop. something to be said for going to the beach for the day with the wife and kids, and the dogs and spending the day together cooking burgers and dogs(not mine) and just relaxing. cant do that in the boat. besides the wife wouldnt go.

I fish from boats, from the sand, in the back.

Ive gotten more fish in all the years Ive been fishing since I was a kid on the boat...

But just getting out to fish, regardless of how I do it, is what means the most to me.

I do both also. but most of the time I find surf fishing a little more rewarding. On the beach you have to rely on your senses, you don't have sonar ect. It takes some time and effort to be able to "read" a beach and make the right call as to area to fish/bait or plug ect. I do most of my surf fishing at night, so I usually have the beach to myself. I'm usually headed to the beach when alot of guys are headed home.

I love the challange of fishing from the sand.And I too love the quiet beach at night. From the beach learning to cast long is a must.Sure many are caught right in front of you.But the guys that catch consistently can cast over the bar when it counts.

I do both but find surf fishing more rewarding. IMO boat fishing is a no brainer in this day and age thanks to electronics. Can't remember the last time we took the skunk on the boat.
