That last NE blow we had carved up the beach really nice. The water was still pretty low when I arrived and there's a lot of beautiful cuts that weren't there last time i fished. Last year's honey hole is gone but I found a few promising looking spots just south of my usual stomping grounds. And hey, it produced a Bass in April!

Re: Our first keeper of the year at IBSP
Congrats on your fish from the surf!
I also took a IBSP ride yesterday. there was a descent amount of guys trying. Mostly fishing the bottom though I did see a few guys/gal plugging. The beach was the cleanest I've seen, I believe there was a beach clean-up.
Points of interest were the totem pole someone erected,, but why did they attach sneakers to it? also saw another large group of trees branches standing tall in the sand,, would've looked neat aflamed at night.
there were no driving problems on the beach,,no dangerous drop out cuts.
only obstacle was the swimming beach that had numerous people flying kites and meandering about,, soon that area will be closed to 4x4's. I'm not sure when but probably memorial wkend or sooner.
I didn't see any real bird action,, though still early.. there were a few gannetts dive bombing the outer surf.
I kept thinking it looked perfect for a bluefish blitz!
good luck guys and play safe.
