Proto Poppers

Couple of handcarve proto poppers I'm playing with. These are pretty big going 7" x 3 oz. May be good in the spring when the bunker are around ??? Got a report from Chunka that the first proto did fairly well, this one's weighted different so we'll see which is better and make whatever adjustments are needed.

Those look amazing Frank the shape is real nice I'm sure it casts like a Rocket looks like it will move plenty of water .. Fish catcher for sure .. Well done buddy .. Going to Florida to fish with Rocco end of April and you lures we be there once again hope to have pics of a bucket mouth on them ..

Hi Steve- vacations are always nice !! End of April should be a lot better time to use those plugs down there then the last time you went, good luck hope you get one of those 10's.

I bet that shape lets them walk and pop - I can see reeling them in with a slow steady chug and having the bass blow up and blow up and blow up!

First of all, I was honored and flattered that Frank asked me to test his new poppers...they are AMAZING plugs from a fantastic builder. Just wanted to say that the poppers are great. The weighting is spot on and they cast great and of course we all know how good his finishes are. If you guys can get a hold of one please do as you will LOVE it. Mine is already in my spring bag waiting for the big girls to arrive...hopefully pictures will follow in the not too distant future.

FJR I am new to this website , I build muskie baits, lately I have been building old Bombers up to 10 inches. I really like your work especially the green crackle paint pattern, is that a stencil or some kind of computer generated paint scheme
