8-30 report off LEI

Fished several spots yesterday, wind out of the Northeast in the moring, no bite a the Collier, moved over to the Flower off Lei. Found the right drift, consistently picked up fluke while shortening the drift just inside the structure. Finished the day with four keeper fluke, up to 26 inches,smallest being 21 inches. A variety of baits used but squid minnow and cut spot were the best producers. Did catch one of the Rutgers tagged sea bass which would have been worth 100 dollars had it been a half inch longer. Have not had any success at all this year with Gulp baits. But did pick up several on Uncle Josh's Meat bait which I like a lot. Bite shut down around 1 when the wind turned out of the south west.
