Absecon Inlet report 8-21

Went out with the neighbor for a few hours yesterday at the top of the tide. He is desperately seeking weakies and decided to stay in the back. Not a hit other than PITA seabass. He was using shedders, gulp and metal. I was targeting fluke with some live spot I caught before we left. Plenty of spot still in the area, caught 6 in fifteen minutes before we broke the dock. Not real big on chasing weakies when the majority of those out there a 15" but what the hell, fishing is fishing. Hopefully he has it out of his system. The fish are, for the most part, all out front. Maybe I can convince him to hit the reefs later in the week.
