Monster caught in Chesapeak:

Check this out a reported 86LB Bass caught in MD.



Saw this elesewhere thought you guy's would like to see it.It was supposed to have been caught in MD in the back by a warm water discharge.

All hear say but from what I've been told it was caught in the Chesapeak in the back at a warm water discharge.There was apparentlly a school of these giants and these guy's had one break and one straighten out a jig before catching this one.We'll never know if this was a record they returned it back to the water.They where fishing in a catch and release area.I'm gonna try to talk to some buds in MD and see if there's more info.

Haven't been able to find this one any MD reports but have heard from someone on the bay that this is true.

if you look at pictures of the current record and look at pictures of that it just doesn't seem like the same caliber of fish. huge fish, there is no denying. i just don't think it pushed the record poundage. my guess is high 60's

I WAS THINKING THE SAME THING.DID THEY PUT THE NUMBERS BACKWARDS. BUT I STILL DONT THINK THAT FISH IS 68 LBS.IM WOUNDERING IF ITS A TRUE STORIE.

IS THERE ANY LINKS OF THIS FISH ? IF ITS ALL OVER MD. WHY CAN I FIND ANYTHING ON IT ?

Can you imagine if it truly was a new world record........ a record fish and no way to verify it for legality.
