Trigger Fishing
Chloe (my youngest) and I were invited along to fish with Bob and his family today. We headed out into the ocean and hit an inshore wreck. It was a bit snotty out there with the ESE wind, but it was manageable with his boat (24' Robalo). She's a sweet ride! Kids were comfortable with it, so we went for it.
After a few attempts, we managed to get the wreck anchor stuck and positioned the boat over the structure. We dropped down Squid and Clam on wreck rigs and Brown Dog Bomb Kingfish Rigs. Soon the Trigger fish were flying over the gunnels. Alex (Bob's oldest) and Chloe were the hot rods of the day, each catching the biggest and most fish. Andrew and David did well too. Marie also added some fish to the cooler. Bob and I cut bait, rigged rods, and kept things moving along. We managed a few fish too in between our duties. All in all, we had a great day and a ton of fun! Kids loved it, and that is what it is all about!

Re: Trigger Fishing
It was a great time, and they are well worth the effort to catch. Great fight, especially on lighter tackle, and really tasty!
