Flounder Scouting
Hit the back bay with Gary, Bob, and John. We had an incoming tide and a screaming WSW to W wind that wouldn't give us a break. We made a bunch of drifts using the motor to keep us in the 'zone' as much as possible, but it was a lot of work. We missed a good number of fish, for whatever reason. Bob and I managed 2 Flounder each. Herring was the bait. Bob, Gary, and John used bucktails, I used one of my Brown Dog Bomb Fluke rigs. We only fished for about and hour and a half, then quit due to the wind beating us at every angle. Had a blast anyway and will be eagerly looking forward to opening day next Saturday!

Re: Flounder Scouting
Early season fluking is always a nice way to put some meat in the box when the striped ones don't seem to cooperate. It will only get better.
