Jersey Hooker 2/21/12 ling sling

Headed to the fishing grounds a little bumpy ride out pulled em back to 18 knots to ensure the guys would have a comfy ride out !!! Got Set up on some structure we would have some ling flying over the rail and then it would stop. Lots of life !!!! TONS OF SEA Perch !!!!!!! Gulp Ghost Shrimp ( Lobsters) and Gulp Cut Bait Strips ... out Performed Clams A Bergal Strips .......
Weather deteriorated quickly managed to make a few more drops picking away @ ling ended up with 78 in the box @ the end of the day .... no record catches but a great time on the water with great customers ...

Lou D was on the boat with us and he had two Custom Rods Built @ Grumpy's Tackle One was a 8' Lami with blue wraps and eva foam grips and extra long butt He called it " Baby Jesus" he was putting the hurting on the ling with this rod so sensitive and just ripping them off the bottom .... The Other He Called " The Purple Rod Of Death" 8' seeker blank with extra long butt and shrink wrap grips ..... I have had lou D out before and he is a good fishermen but armed with these rods he was unstoppable ..... anyone looking for a custom Check out Grumpy's Custom Rods!!!!!
