IBSP 12/6/11

Hit the beach about 5am with my go to black big eds needle ended up with 2 shorts by 8:00 So then moved south and met up with Charlie G hung with him the rest of the day.. Also ChrisL ended up swinging by for a little. But Ill let them tell there own reports. Also ended up snaggin a filleted short bass

Nice report it's a shame people are that cheap and desprate to kill a lil fish Or could they just be that stupid

I had another banner day. Popped the cherry on the new VS within the first 10 minutes of fishing it.
Fished out on a bar starting around low tide. Fished it for as long as we possibly could and had constant fish for over an hour. Moved back to the beach and was able to cast out past the bar to land another 2 fish. That was it for the rest of the day for me. Finished the day with 15 bass from rats to about 12lbs. all safely released.

It was great meeting you both, JeffL and ChrisL, and a fun time fishing with you two.

Well I couldn't get my ass out on any bar unless I swam out. The knees just won't hold up with the water up to my knees and a constant currant running. I did manage 6 bass nothing under 20in with 2 keepers, a 29in and a 31 1/2in. All on metal and teasers.
I'm not sure if I'll get down much anymore so I took both keepers for the table.

I had 1 keeper last week that I made fish cakes with and I must say they were tasty. I used Yukon Gold potatoes and celery and onions and some spices to mix with the fish. They fried up great.

I hope we can get together one more time to chase these fish if they stay around a while which I think they will.

Oh I forgot I did see 3 other carcases on the beach today up away from the water line. With all these guys on the beach I guess you have to expect some pigs to show themselves.

oh yeah....slower bite in the park today. Sporadic fluffys of a few short fish scattered along the beach.
I manged 2 shorts and called it a day.
