Silver Lake 11-19-11

Fished from 4 am until 7:30 am - Hit the jetty at SRI but it was dead - found lots of bass blitzing bait about 100 - 200 yards further then casting distance

Managed a 26" that hit the teaser and somehow broke off my brand new needle fish on the way in ARRRRGH!


All in all a good morning - just watching those big girls blow up out of reach was frustrating

ive had that happen to me ......where the bass hits the teaser and his/her fins will cut the line heading back towards the lure.........try shorting the lenth of line between the teaser/lure to aprox 18"...........im just speaking for my self..........could also be the stripers gill plate cutting the line.........youll know when a bass hits your teaser cause you can feel the the line getting slapped by the tail/fins.......thats what cuts the lure off............

I think the bass got my needle in the rocks and snapped the line - that or I had two bass on at the same time cause it felt a lot bigger at 1st - anyway, happy to land the little guy

My buddy stayed another hour and got into a major gator blue blitz - i always get there to late or leave too early :..............

Seems thats how it always goes.. Either to soon or to late..
