Ready to go

I finally finished some turned blanks and tuned them all up.

The top plug in the first picture only has one belly treble and a tail hook. As I was turning, the tail end cracked off and I had to make it a little bit smaller. Figured that it would be alright as I heard that Old Man likes to take belly hooks out and just use a tail hook. He is going to have to wait as it swims great and I need to take down some dimensions.

No they are not painted. They are stick on. I had my wife design them on her computer after taking the measurements from an original and sent to a printer for samples. The samples came back 60% were dead on and 40% a little off center.

I also purchased some from a plug supply place and those were more like 50/50. So I am trying a few more printers to see if they can make it around 90-100%.

Thanks everyone. I have one more schoolie that I just etexed. Tried something new with sparkles....we will see tomorrow.

Thanks. I keep about 3 from each batch of between 10-12. Usually they are blems such as thru drilling and the nose hole bleeds into the lip slot.....or I drop it just after etex and it doesn't clean all the way off, or I try to get too creative painting and I have to wipe it off....I could go on. But its all good and I enjoy it.
