indoor go cart racing... a place not to go...

so my step brother is getting married soon... a couple of his friends and his father decided since he didn't want a bachelor party we would at least go out to dinner.... than someone mentioned a place called velocity 17 in maywood nj on you guessed rte 17.... so a month ago plans were made and a reservation for our party was made....

22 of us racing as a party... we get there register and all... than they proceed to put us in line to get ready to race... we come to find out they have put us with the regular public and we would have to get rotated in to race... so a couple of us went to the manager and had a discussion with him about getting this worked out...

it was explained to their guy when they made the reservations weeks ago, that we needed to be out by a certain time because of out dinner reservations... he assured us we would be out in plenty of time....

well not only did they not try to help us out by putting us in a rotation and making the public wait a little longer... they actually kept letting public racers ahead of us... at this point nearly 2 hours into this ordeal we went to the manager again and demanded our money back...

so please consider this if you or anyone else you know is thinking of going to an indoor racing facility like this one... there are others out there and from what i'm told they are run a lot better... v-17 would not honor a reservation for a pre-paid party of 22 people... and proceeded to do everything in there power to have us leave and not try and keep our business...

we figured they may have lost a handful of public racers by putting our 3 groups of racers in a constant rotation.... compared to the nearly 2000 they lost not working with us....
