The Bloody Egg

The Bloody Egg ~ A casting egg by SVL 1.5 oz
An old school technique for launching your smaller baits or teasers to get them out much further. Here's what you do:
Clip the top of the egg to your leader or main line. Then tie a secondary leader with a fly teaser or small bait to the fat end. The egg floats.
The best way to rig this is with a 3'-5' leader of fluoro, hang the hook on the nail so it doesn't get fouled up when casting. If your bait is weighted, the length of the secondary leader will control the depth that it swims.
It will release in the air or when it hits the water.
Flies, small rubber shad, cocohoe minnows, small slugos, bucktails, all work well.
Made from premium grade Alaskan Yellow Cedar, the wood is sealed, double primed, painted and coated with
KBS Diamond Coat Finish which is more durable than epoxy. Stainless steel through wire, nose grommet and ss nail.
Instructions are included in the package.
