Re: Tuna Time
In a short answer it takes about 2 hours for each side.
There is a lot more to it .For example
Hard wood soft wood. - I have to slow the machine down
What type of bit large bit small bit - Large bit cuts fast but cant pick up small detail
What size is the project that I am working on - A 10 inch project can take 2 hours a 20 inch project can take 4
I can go on and on but I don't want to bore you. Danny

Re: Tuna Time
That is truly impressive work.
I can see more than just a few hours in the CAD model. Care to share how long the model took?
My guess would be 50 hours, but 100 would not surprise me. The beauty is that once the first body is modelled, the next one will be a lot faster. So far I have only modelled simple shapes, with no details, for lure bodies. But after seeing your masterpiece, I am thinking of having a go myself.
What CAD program did you use?

Re: Tuna Time
I don't know how long it took to model this. I bought it from a friend. I like to design things in Rhino but I don't own the software yet. It is much easier for me to model thing in wood or Plaster of Paris and then have it scanned or I have a surface probe to copy the object. You can down load rhino for free to practice if anyone is interested in it. Dannyvodkaman wrote:That is truly impressive work.
