saturday report

been a while since i have been out. out of fortescue with bloodworms sheddar and bunker. started in shallow water and caught a 3 blues 3 blowfish 6 spot (saved for bait) some sea robins and lots of sharks. around noon moved out by the channel seeing if we could find a striper. caught about 8 more blues. and had 2 stripers. both short and both on bunker. had one blue hooked and come undone on spot. the rest of the spot came back with just a head, blues just tore them apart. soon enough the stripers will start running

Nice job eric. We are headed out this weekend(25th) in hopes of some early season bass. Those blue fish are really good blackend! Also ive heard they are good smoked. Going to be north of where you were...

i hope to hear a good report from you. i think ill be back out oct 9. just need to decide to go where we were this week, or north of where im thinking youll be this weekend.

oh and i fried some blues up tonight. pretty good. not as good as fresh striper, but soon enough ill be making some striper cakes.

We are gonna start way up north just below the river @ the first house. If nothing then moving south towards the middle.

Got my blackend seasoning for the bluefish just incase. Bleed em, then fillet, and coat with blackend seasoning and high heat on
a iron skillet. DELICIOUS!

You gotta try striper nuggets, just as good if not better than the cakes!
