another r/c body done....
been kind of a slow year for painting bodies.... this one was needed quickly... done it in about 3 days...... usually takes a week or more depending on the design and colors used.... i was surprised at the few mistakes and problems i had with this paint job..... the reason most paint jobs take so long is thanks to the paint itself...... there's a lot of bleeding when paint is not dried properly especially flourescent colors, they love to bleed through everything...
the customer was happy.... i was able to put a little twist on a design he liked and the colors i came up with... all feedback is welcome and i look forward to any questions or comments you may have...

thanks again guys.....
charlie the bodies are clear lexan.... i use liquid masking (like masking tape only you can airbrush or brush it on)... than i draw the design on the outside of one half of the body... than i use tracing paper to copy it to the other half... than take a hobby knife and cut the liquid mask on the inside of the body.... cutting the design twice, once for the main design and than again for the pinstriping..... than it's just a paint by numbers kinda thing.... starting with darker colors, i peel off the part to be painted and paint.... going in order till i get to the white.... than it's a final coat of white and clear and done....
i don't have a plotter like some guys do but i like the designing and cutting part as much as i like painting it...
