Headin' to Island Beach State Park

I'll give a full report when I get back hopefully have some pics to add as well. C you guys later.

Spent 5-6 hours fishing Didn't catch a dam fish. Of course I forgot the GULP @ home. I stopped and bought squid and spearing,and some more GULP and it didn't work. But yet the inlet was full of all sorts of bait. Can't figure it out. OH WELL Better luck next time.

biggest bass i ever caught was on ibsp with good old charles G

Trust me I've caught plenty of fish there. Especially in the fall. I guess Sunday wasn't my day. I guess I wasn't in the right place at the right time. Like I said better luck next time.

Bluesfish

Going out on a buddies boat for fluke this weekend. Going out of Shark River. Hopefully we nail them. He usually does good.

Tom I fished the Park today and it was HOT as hell. Thank god the wind shifted and it cooled down some. Fished 4 different spots and I ended up with 4 shorts and what I was told was a blackfish. It wasn't a seabass but looked alot like it.
I also watched a guy fight a fish for 45min and while watching the rod I didn't see any movement so I guessed it was a cownose ray and it was had to have at least a 3ft wing span. Lots of bait in the water but no fish. I only saw 1 keeper flounder caught.
It will be a long time before I fish in this heat again. Good luck this weekend Jeff but take some shade and lots of water.

not feelin the love huh steve? he didnt call me either so dont feel too bad. LOL I've been stuck up in massachusetts for the last 2 weeks and i have been pulling my hair out reading all the canyon reports. hopefully the bluefin will move in close enough for an inshore shark and chunking trip soon. havent been out on my buddies boat since may. i need to try out the new rod soon. be good and cant wait till the fall we are gonna hit it hard this year.
