Earth Day and Kayaks
Went down to the local county park today to do a little Kayaking and saw that they were having an Earth Day with all kinds of solar demos, collection for old computer stuff and at the beach area a Kayak demo where anyone could take one out and try them. Ken F was also there showing re-enty techniques and kayak safety. Ken, I think was from Kayakenoutfitters but today he was representing Long Island Kayak Assoc.
He had a sweet sit in that he built himself (very talented guy) Here's a few picks of his kayak and him. I never did get to fish today because I was having such a good time there and the kids that were trying out the kayaks were having a ball. For some this was their first time in a kayak. There were also canoe rides given by Bill Sickles, a guy I worked with and was friends with in the parks for 34 years.
