What's Your Plugging Set-up?
My main set-up for tossing plugs and metals is a 10' 1pc. Custom Builder Blank, 1-4oz.
Along with a Daiwa Tournament SS2600.
Have been using this combo for the past 8 years and still consider it my "go-to" rod and reel.
Pops pencils, slings my metals and handles big woods like the Oldsalts Skipper(actually pvc board) he made for me for Mexico!

Re: What's Your Plugging Set-up?
My current plugging set up is a factory 9' Lami Super Surf (1 Pc.) with a VS 200.
I also have a 10' factory Lami Super Surf (1 Pc.)that it switch the VS200 between, but mostly use the 9 footer.
Original plugging rod was a Tsunami 9' Airwave with an Okuma VS55a which was a nice set up, but now I'm spoiled with the Lami / VS.

Goog stuff guys.
One of my other "go-to" set-ups is a Lami GSB 132 1L. Great pencil poppin' rod and throws big metals and woods.I have either the Daiwa 2600ss or a Shimano Sustain 8000F on this.

Re: What's Your Plugging Set-up?
Wow where do I start ?
My main plugging stick is an ARA 132-2 with a Zbaas 27 on it with 30lb suffix braid.
I also throw an ARA 1084 with a zbaas 25 and the same braid, and an ARA 1083 with a VS150
I just built myself an AFAW 11ft 1oz to 4oz rod for metal which I like for lighter metal and small pencils.
There are more but that's my problem
And yes I have to many rods but it is a sickness with me always building on new blanks to try them.

Re: What's Your Plugging Set-up?
I have a few, depending on where I am determines which gets game time.
My main go-to is a Lami GSB 1201M custom with a VS250. Covers most of my areas.
I use a Lami GSB 1081L custom with a VS150 for the back bays and smaller plugs.
I have a Lami GLB 841M custom with a Shimano Spheros 4000 I use only for the Shinnecock Canal, and plugging on the boat.
And a 10' Heavy conventional (I forget the make) with an Abu 7000 I use for plugging the Moriches & Shinnecock Inlets.
If I could have just one, it would be the GSB 1201M.

Re: What's Your Plugging Set-up?
Spinning:
J Kennedy Fisher 8708 custom 9' 2" with a VS150 spooled with 50 lbs. Powerpro.
I always wondered if they truely were the "Holy Grail" of plugging rods, and they are.....
Conventional:
Custom Lami 9' all titanium guides with a Shimano Conquest 400 with 50 lbs. PowerPro.
Rod is also custom painted, and marbled, true work of art.

Re: What's Your Plugging Set-up?
My main set-up up until now has been a St Croix Legend 10'6" 3/4 to 4 oz with a ZB 25,spooled with 30# Fireline tracer, this rod is truly SICK!!
Now I have a custom built St Croix Legend blank 10'6" 2-6 oz, I had this rod built with titanium lowriders, fuji reel seat and a wrap that I just can't stop staring at.
Yes,it's bling. I know. But I came to the conclusion that some day I'm gonna kick the bucket anyway so I might as well enjoy the time I got left and get myself a few things that I like. This rod I plan to use with a ZB 27 spooled with 50# Momoi Diamond braid.
What I really like to know is what outfit do you use for Roosters in Mexico?
I think that if I ever make down there I'm going to look into CTS blanks with either a Daiwa Saltiga Dogfight or a Shimano Stella 18000.
Would you mind commenting on this? Thanks!!
