NJ Ticketing confirmed

You may or may not have heard, thought to spread this info:

STATE POLICE - NJ TICKETING

Here's the latest NJ State Police Initiative (Radio Station 101.5 FM confirmed this info).

Starting today, New Jersey will launch a 30-day speeding ticket frenzy. The state estimates that 9 million dollars will be generated in speeding tickets. One million dollars will go to pay state troopers over-time.

There will be 50 state troopers on duty at all times patrolling the 9 main intersections and highways as follows:

I-295 North and South,
I-95 Jersey Turnpike North and South
I-80 East and West
I-287 North and South
I-78 East and West
I-195 East and West
I-280 East and West
Route 130 - North and South
Garden State Parkway - North and South

5 MPH above the limit can justify a ticket and every state trooper is supposed to pull a car over and write a ticket every 10 to 20 minutes.

They have issued 30 brand new unmarked Crown Victoria cruisers and are bringing in all of their part-timers on full time. If you work in NJ, NY, DE or CT, you will probably be on one of these highways. So, please be on guard and drive safely!

Starting August 15, the price of a violation to show your driver's license, registration or insurance card at the time you are stopped, increased from $44.00 to $173.00. (Keep these documents in your car). And the fine for not having all three documents is $519.00!

The fine for hand-held cell phone use while driving will be going up to $180.00.

Please forward this to people in N.J.or any one using the N.J. Highways, and let them know of this latest Police Initiative.

Maurissa, thanks for the heads up, but in this case, I'm inclined to agree with what was found by Klamman, I've heard this monthly at least since May, if not before.

Bay Head cops are the pits of the world, and so is Bay Head!!!!!! Last year, 4'th of July weekend, I get a ticket from a Bay Head cop for not wearing a seatbelt in the middle of town, that old cop that walks around. Every benny and his mother are down here on a holiday weekend, and Bay Head cops give a ticket to a local. NO discrimination there, LMAO.

Daughter got a parking ticket in Bay Head. She and her girlfriend went to take a look at the ocean, a lousy cop on a bicycle WAITED for them to leave the car and wrote her a ticket, they walked right past the cop and he didn't say anything. Apparently, there is an ordiance in Bay Head that you can't park on the beach side of Route 35 on the street from 10PM to 6 AM, or something like that. No signs stating such.

Bay Head, just another socialist/communicstic town in a socialist/communistic state using cops to collect hidden taxes for the town rather than doing real police work.

very interesting, i did not hear anything about the bay head cop, i only got this as an email (copied and paste the text)... i have a seat belt rule in my car regardless, plus my car beeps until you buckle, so its either buckle or have an annoying ride haha..

This story circulates every year.It doesn't mean it ain't true or partially true.I drive 195E alot and there everywhere.I've counted as many as 25 cruisers in like a 20 mile span.There out there!!!

so Jon being I was with you fishing and we both got the tickets, I feel that you being younger should help the senior citizen out and pay for my ticket. Did you look at the time on it we must of just missed him. And for 50 bucks thats nuts for parking

AHHHH Just seein this story,Jon got a ticket huh!!! Tech sorry you got one!!!I got one at the inlett once like 75 bucks.Then another time in Brielle I got one for puting a cigrette ash out the window.The cop let me slide from the $400 littering ticket to a not wearin seatbelt ticket.Man $400 for a cigerette ash!!!!The Ticket patrol is alive and well in shore towns up and down the coast!!!!

You guys got it easy; here in Queens we have traffic cops AKA meter maids and they have been down right heartless for the last few years now. Example, back in June I was picking up my kids from school they were down the block at the Public Library. In front of the Library is an Express Bus Stop that is only used for the morning commute. I pull over in the bus stop ten feet across from the Library’s front door, my kids start walking toward the truck when the belly crawling @&#* pulls in front of me to block me in and proceeds to write me a ticket for $115. They had been handing out tickets all year for pulling over in front of the school as well.
