Jointed Fire mackeral

I dont think I am going to fish this one, Althought the action is completely insane. Goes down about 1 foot and swims like an eel with the S like Motion, Reel it a little quicker and it starts kicking hard. Has 4 diff shades in the bottom and sides which the camera doesnt catch so well. It starts with gold stomach, Golden yellow, mettalic tangerine over that, metallic bronze over that, then metallic brown with mack stripes over it. Its 5 oz, 17 in long ithout the lip and back hook, tail is Cherry and the front is :lol: The Lip is mounted on the head of the swimmer, the original cut I left because it swims tight with a danny lip on it aswell. I'm gonna make another soon. :twisted:

Still floats at 5 oz. The tails heavy alone its cherry. the mack stripes are all freehanded, No stencils involved. It took me about an hour to do them as I kept going over them to make them bolder. Its a PITA but worth it. Thanks for the compliments,

i like it a lot nick. looks like a habish plug to me. try photographing your stuff on something that does not reflect. you camera is picking up the light in the counter top. sorry...i teach photography and your stuff is too nice not to see!

Very nice Nick. How does it cast? Most jointed cast like potato chips but at 5 ozs this baby might have enough weight to make it across a bar. Tell us... how far can you throw it?

I didnt take a full cast with it. i walked to the local lake, I only took my 8ft stick and thought I was gonna break it I wanna go back with the 10ft. I'm gonna take it on vacation with me and I can tell you how it casts, But there was a reason I made the back out of cherry, I was thinking about casting in the build :) I wanted something heavy in the back.
