Well its not a Tumor....

Went to see the ENT (Ear Nose Throat) guy this morning, what a treat. The nurse was a freak show unto herself( half her teeth were missing) She said I was to be prepped for a biopsy of my tongue I stopped in my tracks, you see me and needles dont get along to well, I asked why is that needed? For the lesion on your tongue, I interrupted ,I do not have any such thing on my tongue. OH well we dont need that then do we and she laughed. She then told me I was next to be seen, dodged that bullet So in walks a rustic older man with this head gear on like he is night fishing, so i asked him if anything was bitting, he smiled and said not yet. After a bunch of questions, stress in my life, diet,wood working, career. He said that my tongue has the imprint of my teeth pressed into it. It seems that in my sleep I press my tongue to the top of my mouth and intern it irritates the sides of my tongue which gives me this licking a 9 volt battery feeling 24/7. He prescibed me some cream to put on my tongue( I no this is a set up. hanging curve ball for all of you) twice daily for 7 days, if this does not work then i will have to take a multi vitamin for a month, if that does not work , I will have to cut the habaneros out of my diet.

I asked about the possiblity of a tumor as my doctor suggested, he said with a laugh not likely, then he hoed me of a handcarved swimmer before I left. I was also relieved that the wood that I work with has nothing to do with it

Might still be a tumor........ yup, my bet is a tumor........ that or AIDS :affraid:

Just in case the doctor IS right..... you could always have all your teeth pulled out so you can't rub your tongue on em anymore........ that or remove your tongue......... could still be a tumor though.....

PS: you could always use a C-clamp to lock your tongue to the floor of your mouth while you sleep...... yup, that or crazy glue, hot glue gun, or STAPLES......... you sure it's not a tumor?

Vinny have you seen those mouth pieces???? They advertise em for to help people stop snorin????Their like a football/hockey mouth piece.Just a thought,ask your doc!!!
